These brief biographical notes
from the program of an Oregon Thoroughbred Breeders Association "Educational
Symposium" will introduce you . . .
"A native Californian raised in
the shadows of Santa Anita Race Track and a graduate of the University
of Southern California, Suzanne Cardiff has been a teacher in the Los Angeles
City Schools for 39 years. As an owner, breeder, and student of Thoroughbred
pedigrees for over 30 years, Ms. Cardiff owns Thoroughbred mares of her
own and sells her foals at the Keeneland sales."
At that symposium, Ms. Cardiff
was a speaker along with trainer D. Wayne Lukas, owner-breeders Robert
and Barbara Walter, and veterinarians Barrie Grant and Robert Dressler.
Ms. Cardiff also has been a speaker
at a new owners seminar sponsored by the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders
Association at Del Mar and is a member of Thoroughbred Owners of California's
Marketing Committee.
She is the author of numerous
articles on breeding, bloodstock selection, and Thoroughbred investment
published in The Thoroughbred of California, The Washington Horse,
and The Oregon Horse.
